The Process
Initial Showroom Design Consultation
- Preliminary brainstorming, discuss your ideas, magazine pictures and wish list
- Discuss your floor plan
- Discuss your plans for utilizing the space to be renovated
- Discuss your budget for your project based on scope, home values, client goals and cost estimates
- Set a time for an in-home consultation
In-Home Consultation
- Site visit made to client’s home for field visit and to measure the existing space
- Our designer will look for potential problem areas (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, structural)
- Confirm project budget and design goals
- Sketch out project parameters: scope, timing and materials
Preliminary Design Presentation at Showroom
- Our designer will take your wants and ideas and mold them together with the space and budget to create your new space
- Create floorplans, elevations, CAD renderings of your new space
- Review preliminary design
- Discuss alternative layouts and ideas
- Review costs based on preliminary designs
- Approve design retainer
Design Phase
- Release preliminary design perspectives for review and discuss possible changes
- Produce new floor plans, CAD drawings based on any changes
- Fine tune design with storage options, moldings, etc.
- Order door samples in specific wood/finishes if necessary
- Select cabinetry, finishes and materials
- Discuss various options and related costs
Finalize to Contract
- Review all choices, design options, costs
- Present a final “contract pricing” spreadsheet detailing all changes/options/ costs
- Review timing and responsibilities
- Confirm and sign contract
Installation
- Final mechanical and electrical drawings are completed if necessary
- Secure necessary permits
- As the start date approches we will be in contact with you to discuss timing and responsibilites
- Review the project and make any final decisions that havent been finalized
- Installation process commences and is completed including the coordination of all necessary trades
The installation process and schedule varies with every project. During actual construction we keep our customers informed of how the schedule is progressing and if any delays or problems arise. Whether your project is in the kitchen, bathroom or other space, we are very sensitive to the fact that your life is turned upside down for the duration of the process—we make every effort to get you back to a normal situation as quickly as possible.
